In case you couldn’t already tell, I’m pretty happy that it’s Friday. It has been a looooong week, guys. Three PT sessions, majorly urgent things happening at work, and being sick as well for most of the week = tired, tired Amy.

I am loving Hart of Dixie at the moment. I’m only four episodes in, but so far, so good. I adored Rachel Bilson in the OC and the movies that she’s starred in, so it was no surprise that I am loving this series!

Time for me to get some beauty sleep, I’ve got a big weekend planned!

WIAW: 13/06/2012


Finally, it’s mid week, and you know what that means? Two more days until the weekend ๐Ÿ˜‰

What I ate

Breakfast – Oats with banana whipped in and PB

Snack – Blueberry muffin

This was an AMAZING blueberry muffin that I got from the organic florist across the road from the office. Yes, florist! They are a florist, but in the back there is a cute little organic cafe with sweet and savoury foods, and coffee. My colleagues and I frequent it so much that they know who I am now!

Lunch – Beetroot burgers (recipe to come in future post) with Salad

When my mum was up here on the long weekend she made me some things, and these beetroot burgers were one of them. I’m getting the recipe from her tonight, so hopefully I’ll be able to post it in the very near future!

Afternoon snack – PB chocolate fudge cupcake

My colleague was headed to the cupcake shop, also across the road from the office, and she brought me this back. She knows about my PB addiction ๐Ÿ˜‰ I felt a little bit guilty, seeing as I had already had a muffin this morning, but she was so thoughtful that I decided to indulge.

Dinner – Chickpea curry with Quinoa

This was consumed after aย very sweaty session at the gym with my lovely personal trainer. Now, I’m definitely feeling like a chilled out night.

So, I didn’t exactly do so well with the sensible snacking. I really need to work on this! ๐Ÿ™‚

I really must learn how to get better at taking selfies at work ๐Ÿ˜‰

Aaaaaand before I forget, What I’mย currently reading:

I haven’t exactly read much of it yet because I’m finding it so hard to get into! But I found this with 1984 and it got way better, so hopefully the same happens here. I’m definitely one of those people that once I start a book, I justย have to finish it. So this should be interesting….

Anyway, time for me to go watch some Pretty little liars and talk to a special someone ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Jubilee long weekend that was.

Aww, it’s Monday night and the long weekend is almost over ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

This weekend Aussies got a three day weekend, because of the Queen’s birthday. Because we’re a monarchy still, we still get public holidays for things like this.. which in my opinion is pretty awesome.

Also this weekend, my mum was visiting from Melbourne, so we ate out quite a bit, sampling all the lovely cafes in my area.

Here’s what we had:

Sweaty mess.

Yes, that’s a very attractive title ๐Ÿ˜‰

But that’s what I was after the treadmill sesh I did on Thursday night! I barely even noticed the time fly by – that’s what will happen when you get distracted by an episode of Glee!

This week has been quite busy. We moved offices on friday, and funnily enough we are still on the same floor, but we still had to cart all of our stuff over to the new space, which took up about half of the day. Then we still had to get through all of our actual work!

I’ve set up my new desk just how I like it, with little things to keep me happy throughout the day.

And I brought a drawing from my old ‘partition village’, even though the woman that sits next to me won’t be sitting next to me anymore!ย Partition village: ‘village’ of lots of paper people set upon the partition between two desks.

Now it’s time for me to wrap up this short post, because I have to get things ready for the next week! Just a note: It’s not always wise to play ‘finger puppets’ at work.. especially because your managers may walk past when you’re taking a photo of your finished product..

I never said that I wasn’t lame.

WIAW : The Third.

Happy Wednesday lovelies!

How are you all? Today was a very long day. I just got home from my thirdย personal training session!! We did boxing and the stationary bike, and now I am a sweaty mess, so let’s cut to the food ๐Ÿ˜‰

Personal Trainer review

Hellooooo dear readers, however many there are of you now!

I am still sore from Wednesday night’s PT session, and let me tell you, it’s definitely one of the best feelings being sore from EXERCISING ๐Ÿ™‚

Basically we sat down and talked about my fitness/health goals, how much effort I was willing to put in, and what kind of exercise I usually do. She explained how I would do four sessions (min.) a week; two with her, and then two by myself at the gym. The sessions I have with her will basically be for strength training and stuff like that, and I will do cardio when I’m by myself, because that doesn’t necessarily need too much of an explanation for me, because I have used those machines before.

I’m really excited to get into training, and to feel the results as the weeks go on. I will definitely be showing my progress (hopefully I have some!) ๐Ÿ™‚

My weekend was pretty chill, just spent at home cleaning, cooking and watching some dvds.

Now back to the grind of the work week!

WIAW: Jellybeans.

I am having a serious jellybean craving at the moment. As in, I cannot get enough.

Anyway, that was random ๐Ÿ˜‰ Time for the Wednesday that was:

Oats with Peanut butter and banana whipped in.

Mouthgasm salad.. aka rocket with beets and sweet potato, balsamic AMAZING dressing.

Raw revolution bar.. chocolate and coconut.

After a long day at work yesterday, where I left at 7:30pm, I definitely wanted a bit of a shorter day today. I also had to leave early in order to go to my first ever personal training session! I was a little bit nervous, but more about that in my next post. Definitely deserves a review all of its own.

Speaking of long days, even though today was short, I’m super tired from the last couple of days, so it’s time for me to go to bed! I bet I’ll be asleep as soon as I hit the pillow ๐Ÿ˜‰
